@erickschonfeld are you kidding me?. Bebo is the best thing that has happened to AOL in a long time. as compared to all the crappy deals they have done all these years. Guess $850 m is still way low evaluation for Bebo, they were sold so cheap, AOL got a elephant for the price of dog!. (pardon my comparison here) but you got my point right?.

Think about it, AOL is sitting on their butt for so many years (with all the money they made by selling internet services over the year and not to mention harassing people by sending those stupid CD's in a mail) and there comes a 3rd biggest social network Bebo for the price less than they were thinking. Bebo paid the price for going for less than a billion dollar, because they are not in the Silicon Valley as simple as that. Mark Zuckerberg made smart move by moving Facebook to valley. His evaluation went right up by millions of dollars (that to 2-3 digits).
